Buchan's first family bike ride launched as "Aden Bike Challenge"
Aden Country Park will host Buchan’s first family bike ride this spring, taking in some of the beautiful sights in the local area. Families and individuals are encouraged to get on their bikes to take part in the ride, which will be held on Sunday, March 18.
Gothic Ghost Story set to Thrill Aden Audiences
Hot on the heels of a successful Halloween family fright fest night, Dark Matter is a superb story of madness, passion and death. The performance is a ticket only event which takes place on Friday 18th November, from 7pm, meeting in the central courtyard in Aden Country Park, Mintlaw. Dark Matter immerses you in a skin tingling ghost story, part light installation, part soundscape.
Halloween Leviaden at Aden Country Park
Wade deep into the dark woods of Aden Country Park, Mintlaw for a Halloween night of nautical surprises as mysterious mythical marine monsters emerge from the watery depths. The haunting Halloween event will be held on Saturday 29th October, 6.30pm, starting from the courtyard area in front of the Aberdeenshire Farming Museum.
Aden Park plays new Sound with Curious Chamber Players
As part of sound, the North East Scotland's festival of new music, Aden Country Park will be hosting the Swedish Curious Chamber Players on Thursday 27th October at 1pm in the Aden Theatre. The Curious Chamber Players will showcase brand new works by the Scandinavian composers written in close collaboration with the ensemble, which comprises a flute, clarinet, violin, guitar as well as some newly invented sound objects.
Rare Day Out at Vintage Tractor Day
This year’s annual vintage tractor working day at Aden Country Park should prove to be the best yet. There will be a rare chance to see a wide variety of vintage tractors, Clydesdale Horse ploughing, sheepdog demonstrations, Morrison Collection of rural photographs, traditional Scottish music and Rare Breed Survival Trust.

New Website to Raise Profile of Aden Country Park
A new website is currently being developed to help raise the profile of Aden Country Park in Mintlaw. The website is due to be launched on Saturday 2nd April to coincide with the seasonal opening of the Aberdeenshire Farming Museum and Aden café.
Halloween Fantasmagoria at Aden Draws Crowds
The Halloween Fantasmagoria event held at Aden Country Park on Saturday 30th October proved to be a great success with both children and adults alike. With the weather remaining eerily calm, and the venue of Aden Country Park proving to be the ideal spooky setting, crowds of around 2,000 people attended the flabbergasting festival of fire, fantoms, and frights.

Hands on History at Aden Country Park
Aden Country Park is to host a 2 day “Hands on History” event where a skills swap shop will take place. Traditional crafts and pass times such as weaving and knitting will be exchanged with modern pass times like texting and playing the wii. The event will be held in the theatre in the Aberdeenshire Farming Museum, Aden Country Park, Mintlaw on the 18th & 19th October.

Past and present come together at Aden Country Park
Skills swap shop combines traditional activities with up-to-the-minute computer fun. The traditional clashed with the contemporary yesterday during a fun day at a north-east visitor attraction. Aden Country Park at Mintlaw hosted the so-called skills swap shop, which showcased weaving and knitting in the same arena as playing games on the Wii computer console.

Tree-mendous botanical garden branches out!
Aberdeenshire Council has officially open a regenerated botanical garden of trees (arboretum) at Aden Country Park in Mintlaw. The renovation to the existing remains of a Victorian arboretum is the first phase of a £100,000 project undertaken by the council’s Transportation and Infrastructure Service to develop and establish themed tree collections in the park.
Award-winning Aberdeenshire Council caravan parks open their doors
Aberdeenshire Council’s award-winning caravan parks are now open for business and ready to welcome guests. The council operates six coastal caravan parks at Banff, Fraserburgh, Peterhead, Portsoy, Rosehearty and Stonehaven. It also runs four countryside parks at Aden, Ballater, Haughton and Turriff and all are close to local amenities and attractions.
