Aden allotments project to hold public meeting

The Aden Country Park allotments and community garden project is to hold its first public meeting on Wednesday 23rd May, at 6.30pm, in the award winning Aberdeenshire Farming Museum.

Underground Bunker Created at Aden Park

Aden Allotments & Community Gardens Survey Launched

As part of an “Investing in Ideas” Big Lottery Funded project Buchan Development Partnership are working with Aberdeenshire Council to establish whether the local Buchan community would like to see the development of allotments and community gardens in the grounds of Aden Country Park.

Success for Buchans first family bike ride

The sun was shining on Buchan on Mothering Sunday as around 250 riders took part in the areas first family bike challenge.

Mother’s Day Country Fair at Aden Country Park

Aden Fun Run in aid of MACBI on Sunday

After the massive success of last year’s MACBI Fun Run, Aden Country Park, Mintlaw is to play host for the 2nd MACBI Fun Run on Sunday 11th March 2012 at 1pm, with registration taking place between 12 noon and 12.45pm.

Buchan’s first bike challenge has received a welcome boost as world record holder and round the world cyclist, Mark Beaumont, gave his support for the family friendly Aden Bike Challenge.

Buchan's first family bike ride launched as "Aden Bike Challenge"

Aden Country Park will host Buchan’s first family bike ride this spring, taking in some of the beautiful sights in the local area. Families and individuals are encouraged to get on their bikes to take part in the ride, which will be held on Sunday, March 18.

Gothic Ghost Story set to Thrill Aden Audiences

Hot on the heels of a successful Halloween family fright fest night, Dark Matter is a superb story of madness, passion and death. The performance is a ticket only event which takes place on Friday 18th November, from 7pm, meeting in the central courtyard in Aden Country Park, Mintlaw. Dark Matter immerses you in a skin tingling ghost story, part light installation, part soundscape.

Halloween Leviaden at Aden Country Park

Wade deep into the dark woods of Aden Country Park, Mintlaw for a Halloween night of nautical surprises as mysterious mythical marine monsters emerge from the watery depths. The haunting Halloween event will be held on Saturday 29th October, 6.30pm, starting from the courtyard area in front of the Aberdeenshire Farming Museum.

Aden Park plays new Sound with Curious Chamber Players

As part of sound, the North East Scotland's festival of new music, Aden Country Park will be hosting the Swedish Curious Chamber Players on Thursday 27th October at 1pm in the Aden Theatre. The Curious Chamber Players will showcase brand new works by the Scandinavian composers written in close collaboration with the ensemble, which comprises a flute, clarinet, violin, guitar as well as some newly invented sound objects.

Rare Day Out at Vintage Tractor Day

This year’s annual vintage tractor working day at Aden Country Park should prove to be the best yet. There will be a rare chance to see a wide variety of vintage tractors, Clydesdale Horse ploughing, sheepdog demonstrations, Morrison Collection of rural photographs, traditional Scottish music and Rare Breed Survival Trust.

Local Country Park is one of the best in the country. For the 2nd time Aden Country Park at Mintlaw Nr Peterhead, Aberdeenshire is one of the best in the country – and that’s official!

Buchan Folk set to go Wild about Aden

People of Buchan are set to show how much they love Aden Country Park, Mintlaw by attending the forthcoming “Wild About Aden” event which is taking place during the national “Love Parks Week”. Wild About Aden is a free, two day event, which will take place on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th of July 2011, 10am to 3.30pm.

New Website to Raise Profile of Aden Country Park

A new website is currently being developed to help raise the profile of Aden Country Park in Mintlaw. The website is due to be launched on Saturday 2nd April to coincide with the seasonal opening of the Aberdeenshire Farming Museum and Aden café.
